Draw Your Dad

For many years (even before my girl came along) the Father's Day newspaper has been a favorite. I just love looking at all the pictures drawn by kids of their Dad's. This is the first time that Lil' submitted a picture. Here is a picture of her picture since not all of you are able to get the Idaho Statesman.

We will sneak it into next Sunday's newspaper when she is home from her California adventure and is ready to celebrate Father's Day with her Dad.

Fun Summer Days

Yesterday Lil' went on a field trip to the Idaho Botanical Gardens with her school friends. Since she hasn't been to school in a few weeks she was excited to see everyone and they all seemed excited to see her too.

Here they are learning how to have an earthworm race.

And here they are making their own clay earthworm.

Today was free fishing day. Lil' has been wanting to go fishing for a while now so this was a good chance to test her commitment. She lasted about an hour including a lunch break.

Muffin Pan Meals

Mama saw this idea over the weekend and knew Lil' would love putting together a muffin pan meal for lunch today.

Field Day at Mama's school

Today is field day at the school Mama spends most of her time at. Lil' has been looking forward to this day since she got a brief sample last year. Here is some documentation of the fun.

Lil' in a Blackhawk helicopter.

Note the tribal tattoo that makes her " just like Uncle Mark!"

Fun in the bubble pit...

All done with the bubbles...

With her friend who lives down the street.

The most exciting part of the adventure was finding a snail on the sidewalk while heading back to the car!
